NATURE – CULTURE

Made in 2009 for the exhibition Dansk Gobelinkunst at the Johannes Larsen Museum, Kerteminde, Denmark.

Shown at Kronborg Castle, Helsingør, Denmark.

Shown at the exhibition Modern Danish Tapestries in 2015 at The State Hermitage Museum in Saint Petersburg, Russia.

Awarded a prize by The Danish Arts Foundation

on the following grounds:

“By using classical tapestry techniques in a very light and delicate manner, Anne Bjørn has created a refreshing and contemporary work of art. In its open transparency, the actual binding of the plain white thread becomes a crisp and eye catching ornament, whose shadows take up as much space on the wall as the work itself.

A fine variety of a type of work which usually has far greater density and weight.”

Natur – kultur

Petersborg, Rusland I 2015.

Værket er præmieret af Statens Kunstfond

Udvalgets begrundelse:
